Chelgate appoints public affairs consultant

Simon Brooksbank [square]Planning PR and engagement company Chelgate Local has appointed Simon Brooksbank as a public affairs consultant.

Brooksbank has over seven years of experience in the property sector, including three years at Boyer Planning, where he worked on strategic housing applications across London and the South East. He has also worked at Lambeth Council.

Brooksbank is the chair and co-founder of Planning Out, an LGBT Planning Network. Since its launch six months ago, the network has grown to over 200 members and has held a number of events, including a Parliamentary reception hosted by Helen Hayes MP.

He has also been the chair of the RTPI Thames Valley Young Planners.
