Moda, a developer and operator of private rented homes, has appointed two people to its development team and enlisted a head of creative.

Carl Wood joins Moda – formerly Moda Living – as project director from construction and project management consultancy Turner & Townsend.

Wood will have responsibility for managing project governance across the development pipeline. He will also project manage the company’s Edinburgh scheme, which was purchased from Grosvenor Estates in March last year. It includes delivering 525 homes for rent.

Anika Day has been appointed as senior project manager. She previously worked for Select Property Group as a development manager across both the firm’s rental brands – Affinity Living and City Suites. At Moda she will focus on its developments in Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester.

Chris Cheshire joins Moda as the new head of creative from SoVibrant. In his role he will work alongside Lydia Eustance, head or marketing, to build up the Moda brand.

In addition to these hires, Moda has completed a full fit-out and refurbishment of the company’s new 4,000 square foot office in Harrogate, Yorkshire, to accommodate its expanding team.
