Gillespie launches planning consultancy

Ian Gillespie has launched his own consultancy Igloo Planning, after 20 years of experience working in the private and public sector.

Igloo Planning provides development potential and strategy advice to developers, promoters and private landowners across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Gillespie said: “After 21 years working in both the public and private sectors, I have always wanted to run my own business. My focus is on working for clients to realise the full potential of their land and property assets.

"We already have some great clients and are involved in the promotion of sites with a capacity to deliver more than 2,500 new homes.”

Some of his clients include: CEG, Inland Homes, and Wallace Land.

Gillespie’s career includes eleven years at Carter Jonas, the national property consultancy. In his last five years with the company he was head of planning - south region for its seven strong Oxford-based planning team.

Gillespie had spent four years at South Bucks District Council, from 2008 to 2012 leading the preparation of a core strategy. He has also worked at Buckinghamshire County Council and Tees Valley Joint Strategy Unit.
