Lichfield is a historic cathedral city located 30 mins north of Birmingham. The district as a whole comprises a mixture of unspoilt towns and villages lying adjacent to many areas of open parkland and forests.

An opportunity has arisen to join Lichfield’s Development Management Planning Enforcement Team. You will have responsibility for your own enforcement caseload, which will include serving notices and representing the Council on any enforcement appeals and court hearings.  You will also manage the Planning Enforcement Team, with line manager responsibility for an Enforcement Assistant and lead on the production and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Council’s planning enforcement function. 

You should have good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to deal with all customers tactfully and diplomatically in relation to planning enforcement matters.  You should possess a planning qualification and significant experience in Local Government Planning Enforcement. Also, you should hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
