Excellent opportunity to take up an Interim Head of Development Management role working with a client in South East London. The current post holder will be retiring at the end of March and they are looking to appoint to the role mid March to enable a handover period. The role reports to the Assistant Chief Exec for Growth and Regen.

To be successful in this role you will need previous management experience and the ideal candidate will be someone who has held exactly the same kind of role within another London authority. The headcount for the team is c25 people divided into teams including Planning, Planning Enforcement, Tech Support and Local Land Charges so you will need to be confident organising and managing at this level. You will also play a key role representing the Council through consultation exercises and at planning committee so you will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in successful negotiations and stakeholder engagement. Relevant academic and professional qualifications are essential.

This role will last at least 6 months and will pay in excess of £500/day. A full, detailed JD is available on request.
