West Cheshire is a place where everyone can Thrive – through our core values of Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Value for Money and Empowerment.

The Planning Policy team has recently adopted the Local Plan (Part One) Strategic Policies and is now advancing the Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies. The team have enabled nine Neighbourhood Plans to progress to adoption and are providing essential support to a further twenty communities with plans underway.

This dynamic team is looking for a Planning Officer to assist with progressing the Local Plan (Part Two) and to support communities preparing neighbourhood plans. In the role of planning officer you will also be involved with preparing studies and undertaking monitoring to support the Local Plan.

We are looking to recruit a team player who can demonstrate a detailed knowledge of planning and a willingness to learn. Relevant work experience would be an advantage, but this role will provide a great opportunity for you to develop your planning policy skills and experience.
