A Local Authority in Buckinghamshire is looking for a Senior Planner who can join the Team during an exciting time of transformation within the Council.

This contract is situated in an area easily commutable from London and is a mix of rural green belt and picturesque market towns. It will run for 18 months. During this time you will be part of the merging of the Council into a shared service. You will be working as a team with the other Development Management Planners to bring the area teams together, whilst dealing with pre-application enquiries and a range of applications and appeals.

You will work closely with Members and have to have strong analytical and communication skills. You will be working on a range of development from minor and other developments, to major applications. You will need to represent the Council’s opinion at informal hearings and liaise with staff at neighbouring authorities.

There will be some signing off responsibilities for recommendations/decisions where this has been dealt with by a more junior member of the team. You will also attend Planning Committee. You will carry out site visits independently and proactively manage your own workload.

There will also be the opportunity for flexible/home working arrangements.

Please do email me at if you would like to hear more about this role or call 020 7766 9063.
