Development Control

I am currently working with a Cambridgeshire based Local Authority, who are seeking an experienced Development Control Officer to join them on a contract basis.

The role will see you dealing with a mixed caseload of household minors to applications for up to 10 unit dwellings. You will assist in their current caseload as well as take on your own new applications.

My client can potentially offer compressed working covering 37 hours a week. They are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible and will be offering an initial 3-month contract, with a view to extend beyond.

Pay rates are yet to be confirmed but the right candidate can expect to attain a rate from £36-£42 per hour.

The successful candidate will ideally have a few years of experience in a Local Authority based Planning Development Management role. A chartered and qualified planner (MRTPI) is preferred but not essential. Access to a car would be of benefit as the role will see you undergoing regular site visits.

If you would like to be considered for this role, or to find out about other roles please contact me; Ben Young here at The Oyster Partnership on 020 77 66 9000 or email me on
