Osborne Richardson are delighted to be working with Cunnane Town Planning, an extremely well regarded and established independent planning consultancy based in SW London (as well as a successful Manchester office), and with a sister company in Ireland. Cunnane Town Planning, established in 1985, have an enviable list of clients and cover a broad range of planning work throughout the United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity as the practice is currently gearing up for expansion, and the position will be of interest to an entrepreneurial and commercially minded individual who is looking to take the next big step in their career, and has the vision to help develop and eventually take a leading role in the business in conjunction with existing directors in Manchester and Ireland.

CTP are looking to recruit an experienced Director with an existing client base or an Associate Director with the right skill and mind set to become a fee generating Director. The successful candidate will be succeeding one of the existing partners who is retiring this summer, and as such there is potential to acquire equity.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Project managing a broad mix of planning submissions and appeals
- Working with a wide range of clients, managing expectations and adhering to time limits
- Maintaining a good understanding of policies relating to residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes
- Demonstrating fee-winning and business generating capability
- Taking on management responsibilities as the business progresses

It is essential that candidates have:

- Chartered membership of the RTPI
- Minimum degree qualification in town planning
- UK private sector planning experience, especially Development Management
- Proven planning experience of at least 8+ years
- Good professional writing skills with an ability to provide clear advice across a range of reports
- Ability to present reasoned advice in formal and informal environments
- Experience in preparing, submitting and negotiating a range of planning applications and appeals
- An ability to display initiative and be part of a team
- Ability to manage workload, budgets and project co-ordination
- Knowledge of public engagement practices
- Enthusiasm, thoroughness, honesty and commitment

Remuneration Package:

Our client is offering a very competitive salary package circa £55,000 - £75,000 + company car allowance, health insurance and the potential to acquire equity.
