Graduate Planner - (Urbanist Architecture)

Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working exclusively with Urbanist Architecture to find a Graduate Planner. Urbanist Architecture is a highly regarded architecture practice that focus on architectural design, planning applications, interior design and work primarily on a variety of residential projects.
The planning department has a reputation for taking on challenging applications that have been refused by numerous other architectural firms and maintaining a 97% success rate throughout.

The role specifics

- The successful candidate will be working on projects including changes of use, appeals, flat conversions, HMOs, home extensions, Listed Building Consent, new builds (single dwellings and blocks of flats), eco-homes and sustainable design
- The team are all highly motivated individuals who specialise in certain areas that include master planning, urban design, landscape architecture and design, sustainable architecture, interior design
- The majority of their projects are within the M25 and the South East

Role requirements

- Bachelors or Masters degree
- At least 6 months of industry experience (urban design, planning, or architecture)
- Experience with writing Design & Access Statements, submitting applications, managing applications, liaising and negotiating with case officers
- Writing planning appeals and policy-based statements
- Excellent communication - both spoken and written
- A people-person who is driven and will strive to grow with the company
- Friendly, but firm and not scared to say no to planning officers, dealing with clients, etc.
- Willingness to learn, and a curious nature, with a Keen eye for detail
- Independent worker, reliable and committed

Remuneration package

- Salary - 20k
- Quarterly performance bonuses and additional bonus schemes subject to performance
- Support for RTPI accreditation
- CPD support, delivery, and quarterly monitoring
- 28 days of holiday per year, not incl. bank holidays
