A Local Authority in Berkshire is looking for a Principal Planner to join the Council’s Development Management Team. You will be working on some specific major schemes. 

As a Principal Planner you will be working on some complex major developments. From large scale residential to exciting industrial and commercial schemes. You will be working on some high profile projects in the area that will involve liaising with other departments within the council and with developers. 

Candidates should hold several years experience of planning Development Management experience working on major applications within a Local Authority. Floodplain and Green Belt develpment experience would also be useful.  It would be beneficial if you were MRTPI accredited. You will need to be able to work indepenedlty to deadlines and be a confident communicater. 

The contract is for an initially 6 months but due to the projects avaialbe it is likely to run for 12 or more. The Council can offer very competitive rates for the right candidate and flexible and home working arrangements.
