A Local Authority in Oxfordshire is seeking a Planning Officer for a 3 month rolling contract.

The Council is looking for an experienced Planner who can work independently on minor and householder applications. This authority has received a large influx of planning applications due to increasing development in the local area. These applications will typically be minor householder or commercial and you will be carrying out site visits independently and writing concise reports. You will also be working on advertisement consent applications, lawful use certificates and discharge of conditions applications. It would be beneficial if you had two years experience in processing minor applications. However, this Council would be open to candidates from the Private Sector who are looking to gain Local Authority experience.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly and professional team in an exciting planning environment. The council can offer competitive rates and extremely flexible working arrangements.

If you believe your skills and experience fit this role, please contact me on 020 7766 9063 or email me at katie.ayre@oysterpartnership.com.

I am also happy to receive speculative applications as I am always on the lookout for experienced town planners!
