A Local Authority in Buckinghamshire is seeking a Principal Policy Planner to take the lead in project managing the Council’s Local Plan.

It would be beneficial for you to have 10 years, or more, Local Authority experience working on Policy Planning, relating to Local Plans. You will be assisting the Council in the progression of their Local Plan which is currently out for Consultation. You will be project managing the Local Plan, arranging meetings with the Councillor working group, sending out agendas, writing briefs and appraisals and doing some aspects of the plan writing. This is the perfect opportunity to diversify your experience and take on your next exciting Principal role.

A Degree or Diploma in Town Planning, or related discipline, and Chartered membership or eligible for Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute would be highly advantageous.

The contract will be for an initial three months but has the potential to extend past this. Rates will be dependent on the candidate’s level of experience but are likely to be between £35 and £40 an hour. The Council can offer a day home working and can be flexible with hours.
