Project Planning and Permitting Manager - Oxfordshire

£30,000 - £45,000

*6 - 12 months contract (potential for permanent)

We are delighted to represent a multi award-winning, national and independent Waste and Renewable consultancy based in Oxfordshire. Our client are currently looking for a dynamic Planner to join their team for a period of 6 months - 1 year, with potential for the role to become permanent.

The director leading this vacancy would consider candidates who require a full time or part time role, with the option of home working.

The role:

The Planning and Permitting Team play an important role in assisting the company in establishing more facilities across the county and managing the planning permissions of their existing portfolio of sites. Your role will be to gain planning permission and Environmental Permits for new facilities and provide planning and permitting support and advice in all aspects of the Company's business. This position also includes the preparation and administration of Planning and Environmental Permit Applications, Appeals and any associated procedures, auditing existing sites against planning permissions and submit variations to ensure the company remains compliant against its planning permissions. The role will also provide ad hoc support to the business where specialist skills are required.


  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in RTPI accredited course
  • MRTPI or working towards
  • Accurate and concise writing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Full Driving Licence and access to a car


  • At least 2 years' experience in a Planning role
  • Knowledge of waste and/or renewable energy sector
  • Have an understanding of the permitting sector
