Principal Development Management Officer
As a Principal Development Management Officer you will be responsible for the day to day management of enforcement, validation and planning officers whilst also carrying your own caseload of applications. When required you will represent the Council as expert witness at public Inquiries. You will work closely with the Team Leader to help manage the enforcement function and provide technical support where required. Your caseload will be varied so you will need a good knowledge of current planning legislation in relation to all types of property development/
To apply for this role you will need a relevant town planning related degree and significant experience working within a local authority development management team. You will need a good appreciation of the role development management plays in the wider regen context and you will need to be someone who works well in a collaborative environment as you will need to integrate with other teams within the planning and regen function.
The role is based in Hampshire, will pay around £30-£35/hr.
