We are seeking an enthusiastic planning professional to join our innovative Development Management Team based in Lowestoft. This role will provide a great opportunity to develop a career in a forward looking partnership with key major projects within a beautiful area, including the regeneration of Lowestoft and associated renewable energy opportunities, Sizewell new nuclear build, BT Adastral Park and the Port of Felixstowe.

Your role will also encompass working on more complex planning applications and appeals, representing the council at planning committee, appeal hearings and public inquiries and supporting our infrastructure delivery colleagues. You will also have a key responsibility for quality control in our decision making and will take a position of seniority in the team deputising for the Area Team Leader.
