An Essex-based housebuilder is looking for an ambitious Town Planner who is ready for an exciting new challenge with one of the fastest growing developers in the UK.

Our client creates places of character, carefully designed to strengthen people’s sense of belonging and build enduring value for all. They achieve this through building new homes and creating neighbourhoods of lasting quality. And right now, building on a period of considerable growth, their Land and planning Division is looking to recruit another ambitious Town Planner with 2+ years’ experience.

Your challenge? To manage a caseload of active and strategic sites through the planning process, coordinate the preparation of planning submissions, including major planning applications, planning appeals and ensuring a smooth, timely and cost-effective delivery of projects. Of considerable importance is a background in development management planning and some experience of protecting outlining planning permissions would be valuable but not essential. You will be working as part of a team of 14 Town Planners with a variety of skills and strengths who work together to bring about the best possible outcomes from every site.

Recent MRTPI chartership is naturally desirable but not essential as relevant experience and the right attitude is key. The team are experienced in supporting planners through their APC.

Remuneration is very competitive with an excellent benefits package and the role will involve occasional UK-wide travel.
