Development Contributions Programme Manager
Our client is looking to appoint a Development Contributions Programme Manager to effectively manage their S106 / CIL related work. As a manager you will play a key role in shaping the delivery of services and adapting the team and way of working to meet the changing demands of the community and customer's needs.
In this role you will act as the senior source of expertise on planning obligations and the Community Infrastructure Levy and lead on all development contribution matters relating to Section 106 and CIL. A key requirement of your role will be to engage with Project Managers across the Council to ensure that the Section 106/ CIL funded projects are legally-compliant, high performing and responsive to the needs of the residents of the Borough.
To be successful in this role previous experience is absolutely essential due to the technical nature of the position. You will need an extremely comprehensive understanding of current legislation, issues, policies and developments at sub-regional and national levels relating to Town Planning, in particular Development Contributions, the Community Infrastructure Levy, the Council's Local Development Framework and Sustainable Community Strategy. A good knowledge of development management issues and polices is required and you will need excellent negotiation skills. The ability to lead from the front and manage the work of others is crucial and we would expect appropriate academic qualifications at this level of appointment.
The role is based in South East London, will last at least 5 months and rates are negotiable.
