Planning Enforcement Officers
We are currently working with local authorities based in Hertfordshire & Oxfordshire who are looking to welcome contract Planning Enforcement Officers into their team.
This position will run for an initial period of 3 months, with the intention to extend the contract beyond this. Rates of pay are open to negotiation, subject to your level of experience in this particular sector. Ideally, you will be able to hit the ground running in these roles, so it would be highly advantageous to have had ample experience as a Planning Enforcement Officer within a Local Authority setting.
In order to flourish in this position, you must be comfortable dealing with issues surrounding compliance of planning permissions/conditions and deciding whether enforcement action should be taken against unauthorised development in accordance with the Council's Scheme of Delegation. You will also prepare reports on enforcement issues and presenting such reports at Committee. You will present evidence at the Public Local Inquiries and at Court in connection with enforcement and other issues.
Both Councils are able to accommodate a compressed week where you have the option of working your hours into three or four days.
If you would like any further information about this role, the rate you could expect and the local authority you would be working with, please do drop us an email or give me (Richard) a call on 020 3795 4828.
If you are interested in other Planning positions but this is not to your fancy, please do give us a call! Unfortunately as much as we would love to, we cannot advertise every vacancy we have on here!
