Team Leader (Assistant Planners)
The Planning Applications Team is high performing despite a high work load of applications of all types. The Council is seeking a candidate who is interested in a part time Team Leader role jointly responsible for providing day-to-day support and line management for the team of Assistant Planners and a Forestry & Landscape Officer. This team deal mainly with householder applications (including Certificates for Lawful Proposed Development), tree applications and applications for prior approval (agricultural and householder). The position is based in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon and whose district boundaries extend into the Cotswolds AONB and the West Midlands Green Belt.
You will be expected to show enthusiasm, drive and a proven ability to provide a high standard of customer care. You will also have extensive contact with District Councillors and Parish Councils.
You should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in planning or related discipline and be a full member of the RTPI. Several years experience in a development management setting is essential.
