Has the contract planning market seemed a little quieter in the East of England lately? Fear not, things are picking up and I'm only just getting started with the following role!
I am currently working with a Local Authority in the Leicestershire area, who are looking to fill a void with a Development Control Officer on a contract basis. The position on offer will see you primarily working on minor and householder applications.
The contract is 6 month rolling, but are highly likely to progress further than this as workload continues to grow. Rates are negotiable and depend on your level of relevant experience.
Flexible working is something that the authority are happy to accommodate, with as little as 2 days a week in the office.
In order to be considered, you will ideally be a qualified town planner with a degree in a Planning or another relevant topic, and have 2 years of post-qualification planning experience. Some parts of the area are more rural than others, so it would be useful if you did have use of a car or other vehicle to travel in and around the borough for site visits.
If you would be interested in hearing more details about this position or looking at a contracts in the East Anglia or East Midlands area, please do get in contact with Ben at the Oyster Partnership on 020 7766 9086, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
