Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with one of the most highly-regarded property developers in the UK and a company who has won many awards for excellence. Our client is one of the most respected UK developers and are an industry leader, with years of experience in delivering successful residential and mixed-use schemes.

We are looking for a Planner or Senior Planner to join their team, based in London. This is a demanding and rewarding role, with the opportunity to work on challenging major development schemes and within a fast paced, energetic and driven environment. As part of the role you will cover a broad range of planning skills and be exposed to the whole development process, from site finding to sales and marketing.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Carrying out planning appraisals to assist the land team
- Leading pre-application discussions with the LPA
- Co-ordinating the preparation and submission of Planning Applications
- Negotiating with the case officer as necessary to ensure planning permission is secured
- Appointing consultants as necessary to produce reports in support of the planning application and managing the process
- Maintaining a schedule of all current and pending planning applications and conveying associated decision dates to the Development Team
- Liaising with In-house teams to ensure s106 agreements are signed promptly to avoid project delay
- Ensuring correct CIL payments are made

It is essential that candidates have:

- 2 to 6 years planning experience
- Client Side, Consultancy or Local Authority experience
- Experience of working on large residential and mixed-use developments
- An eye for detail but able to think strategically too
- Used to working with minimal supervision and have an ability to use one's own initiative
- Have a strong team-working ethos
- Have superb project management skills
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Hold a full UK driving licence

Additional desirable attributes would be:

- MRTPI qualification or very close to completion
- knowledge of planning in London

Our client is offering a competitive basic salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000 depending on experience. Other benefits include: car allowance, pension and health care
