The Home Builders Federation (HBF) is looking to appoint a planning professional to represent the HBF membership in the development and implementation of local authorities’ development plans and associated documents. The role consists of up-front engagement with stakeholders, the submission of formal representations and taking an active part in public examinations, representing the interests of HBF members, most of whom are private sector housebuilders. .
This role covers the geographic area of the North of England comprising the North West, the North East and the Yorkshire regions. The successful candidate will work from home but extensive travel is required.
You will be a highly motivated, self starter with experience of the development plan process with the skills necessary to engage with local authorities, local communities and the private housebuilding sector. Excellent communication and negotiating skills, both verbal and written would, therefore, be an advantage.
The job is suitable for candidates of any level of experience although applicants should, preferably, be eligible for membership of a development related professional body.
