Regen Principal DM - £400-£450/day
This is a key role within our client's organisation and will see you lead on the development and implementation of a portfolio of regeneration and delivery projects including leading on development agreements, joint ventures and direct delivery schemes. You will report directly to the Head of Regen and Design and work closely with other senior staff to act as a senior advisor to the Council on land and property issues relating to Regeneration Team projects. Typical tasks you will be involved with include viability assessment, site acquisition/CPO, financial and budget management, project staff resources, programme co-ordination and reporting, management of governance processes, procurement of external support and monitoring project progress.
The Regeneration Team is currently looking to deliver a £1.75Bn public and private sector investment programme over the period to 2026. This specific post will be directly accountable for capital project budget of c £100m per annum. The post carries direct line management responsibility and will include managing one or more regeneration project managers, which may include in-house staff, interims and secondments. Projects online or in the pipeline include a new Civic Centre, 2000 new homes on Council owned land, a new school, a district heating network to service major sites and a range of upgraded infrastructure projects across the Borough.
To apply for this role it is essential you have operated in a similar capacity and have an excellent knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the development process and requirements for successful urban regeneration. Your previous work will have focused on land and property development but also given you a knowledge of planning, urban design, economics and infrastructure delivery. You will need knowledge and understanding of the London Plan and associated housing and regeneration strategies, NPPF and associated legislation.
At this level our client is looking for an appropriate degree level qualification and, ideally professional accreditation; additional project management qualifications e.g. PRINCE2 would be an advantage.
The role will last at least 5 months and pay a day rate of around £400-£450. Our client is based in North West London.
