Surrey – Senior Project Planner – Up to £50,000 (2 Years Fixed Term Contract)

Exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to drive forward a prestigious project through the planning process.

The council are working to build a brand new community in the heart of Surrey.  This is an fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to be at the forefront of this new initiative. The project will provide 1500 new homes and supporting facilities, and is supported by the Government’s Housing and Communities Agency.

As the lead planning officer, you will play a pivotal role in influencing the design of this prestigious development. Successful applicants will be experienced planners with a thorough technical understanding of the planning system to drive the scheme forward through the planning process. You will have a proven track record of working on this type of project, have excellent communication skills, and flair and imagination to quickly solve problems and produce innovative ideas.

Salary will be up to £50k depending on experience, there could be further negotiation for the right candidate.

Buckinghamshire – Development Officer – Up to £40,000

This Buckinghamshire based Local Authority are currently seeking positive, pro-active Planners to join their Major Development Team.  This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large growth area of the country, to develop your skills as a Planner and broad your experiences.

Successful candidates will have ideally worked on planning applications for 10+ dwellings including associated report writing, presenting at committees and co-ordinating section 106s, and have a positive pro-active attitude and are keen to be always achieve more. Any experience in larger applications and appeals is a bonus!

You will be working in the Council’s major development team, under the guidance and supervision of a team manager, and will have support from other Principals in the team to help develop your skills and fast-track your experience so that you can deal with particular complex cases.

Hampshire – Senior & Principal Policy Planners – Up to £48,000

There are positions available at two Hampshire-based LPAs, who are both investing heavily in their Planning Policy Team in order to get a new local plan in place. As a result, they are looking to recruit a Senior and Principal Planner to the team, reporting to the Planning Policy Manager.

Successful applicants will be experienced professionals with a positive attitude that will bring a range of planning policy experience and knowledge to the team. You will play a huge part in creating a new local plan for the area.

The final salary will depend upon your experience and qualifications, you will also benefit from an essential car user allowance and generous annual leave entitlement.

Devon – DM Senior Planners & Team Leader  – up to £35,000 (plus relocation package)

This local authority based in beautiful Devon are seeking Senior DM Planners and a Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity would suit anyone who is considering a move down to Devon as the Council are willing to offer a relocation package of up to £8,000.

You will be working in one of the most picturesque areas in the UK and get to work on interesting and complex projects. Successful applicants will have a degree in Town Planning and have at least 2-3 years post qualification experience.

Dorset – Principal Planning Officer – Up to £40,000

This local authority is seeking an experienced professional to lead a team comprising a Senior Planning Officer, and a Planning Officer. You will be responsible for a varied caseload including processing planning applications (delegated and committee), providing pre-application advice and dealing with enforcement enquiries. This is a great chance for any Senior Planner looking to make a step up into managing a small team while still keeping a small caseload of planning applications.

Ideally you should have a planning qualification and be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute; however applications from people who can demonstrate that they are eligible for membership or are working towards membership will also be welcome.
