We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Planning and Enforcement Officer to join our innovative Development Management Team. You will primarily be based at our Melton offices, but will also work from our Lowestoft offices as and when required.

Your responsibilities will involve taking on a mentoring and managerial role within the team, including deputising for the Area Team Leader and leading projects for the team, as well as working on more complex planning applications and appeals.

You will also represent the council at planning committees, appeal hearings and public inquiries and have a key responsibility for quality control in our decision making.

This role will provide a great opportunity to develop a career in a forward looking partnership with key major projects set within a beautiful area. Some of the exciting projects currently in progress include the regeneration of Lowestoft, Sizewell new nuclear build, urban extension at BT Adastral Park, and expansion at the Port of Felixstowe.
