On the fringe of London, the District is experiencing significant development pressure, with a variety of planning applications. The District is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns with many Conservation Areas, Listed Buildings and major areas of Green Belt and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area has a diverse range of businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with nearby Elstree and Pinewood.
We are looking to appoint at Team Leader level. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in Development Management or other relevant experience. As Team Leader you would be handling your own caseload of large planning applications whilst leading, managing and coordinating the activities of the Development Management team to deliver sustainable and effective development of the District and provide professional advice and support on all planning matters. You will have a key role in the delivery of major development in the area and would oversee significant projects such as HS2 applications and the Council’s own property development.
There are opportunities to lead on the enforcement functions of the Development Management team and supervision of other regulatory functions which will provide a platform for expanding your knowledge and management skills.
