Qualified Planner & Junior Planner for Porta Planning
Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with Porta Planning in finding a Qualified Planner and a Junior Planner to join their team. The company are a highly-regarded planning and development consultancy based in Central London, who provide strategic advice and deliver practical solutions on real estate issues.
Porta Planning have experienced excellent year to year financial growth in their first 7 years of operation - and this looks set to continue. They pride themselves on being a leading niche practice, serving a small number of highly reputable/recognised national/international corporates and institutions. They want to continue growing their client base of developers and funds, primarily focussing on projects in London and the South East.
In order to support the firm's continued growth, your role as a Planner will be to provide support to senior staff and to work directly for them in delivering a high quality of work and successful instruction outcomes. The Partners will brief you and supervise your work and provide a high level of support to assist your professional development. You will be given opportunity to develop client relationships and be expected to assist in the development of work.
Your role will involve undertaking planning research and enquiries, monitoring and reviewing development plans, drafting reports and planning applications, assisting with the coordination of project teams and liaising with local authorities and others. Projects will principally be in London, the South East and East Anglia areas.
For the Planner position, you must be MRTPI or MRICS qualified. For the Junior Planner position, you must be eligible for MRTPI or MRICS qualification subject to gaining the necessary work experience, and must be able to demonstrate that you are meeting the requisite Continuing Professional Development ('CPD') requirements of the RTPI and/or RICS. Progression in the firm is dependent on successfully achieving professional qualification of one of these bodies, and the firm will assist you in achieving this goal.
A competitive market salary will be paid to match your level of experience. For the more experienced Planner position the salary will range between £32k - £40k. For the Junior Planner role, the salary will range between £25k - £28k.
There is a discretionary staff bonus arrangement that will equate to a % share in the annual profit of the business (pro-rated in the first year), subject to you exceeding an agreed target of rendered chargeable hours.
