Assistant Planner – Development Management
Brentwood has a diverse mix of rural and urban environments all set within a borough dominated by high quality countryside in the green belt. It is subject to significant growth pressure but retains a strong historical context. Located adjacent to the M25, it has excellent transport links into London and the development of Crossrail will more than double the number of trains coming into the Borough, making it a desirable place to work and live.
The position would suit either someone looking to build on their experience and knowledge of the planning system or an enthusiastic and motivated graduate. You will be dealing with a full range of planning applications including householder, prior notifications, appeals and pre-application advice. You will be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills. In return, a competitive salary and opportunity to work remotely including home working is offered.
