S106 and CIL Monitoring Officer

Building and Construction - London

My client, a London based Local Authority are looking for a S106 and CIL Monitoring Officer to join their Planning team within the Building and Construction industry in London. The vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with the potential for extension based on your performance and internal circumstances.

Duties for the S106 and CIL Monitoring Officer:

  • To monitor the collection of financial and non-financial developer contributions arising from CIL and S106 agreements using the Council's Exacom and M3 systems including the issuing of liability, demand and discharge notices.
  • To provide advice and respond to enquiries regarding CIL and S106 matters.
  • To support the preparation, implementation and delivery of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule, the supporting viability evidence base and infrastructure plan.
  • To support Development Management in the negotiation of S106 agreements alongside the levying of CIL.
  • To undertake future reviews of the Council's Planning Contributions SPD, Instalments Policy, Exceptions Policy and other relevant policies to support the implementation of S106 and CIL.

The suitable candidate for the S106 and CIL Monitoring Officer will be studying towards an RTPI accredited degree, have graduated from an RTPI accredited Degree or have previous experience in a similar position within the Building and Construction industry.
