Planning Compliance Officer
Horsham District Council has an exciting opportunity for a Planning Compliance Officer within our planning Compliance Team.
Horsham has an extremely busy planning department with 16,000 homes to provide for over the Plan period and we have consented over 1100 in the last year. We consider around 3000 applications each year with one of the highest number of major applications in the surrounding area. We have an up to date adopted Local Enforcement Plan and a Local Plan which guide the process and development within our District.
As Planning Compliance Officer you will manage a varied caseload of compliance matters associated with householder, new housing, Listed Buildings, commercial and other types of small and major developments.
You will manage a case load of potential breaches of planning control, you will investigate the potential breaches and seek a satisfactory outcome where ever possible. You will liaise and negotiate with all parties to resolve cases within department timescales.
You will be a motivated individual who has experience of the planning system, has a willingness to learn and is adaptable to change.
