Our client is looking to appoint a Validator/Planning Officer on a contract basis to provide support to their Planning Team. In this role you will have responsibility to check incoming applications for content to ensure all relevant information has been submitted and is in the correct format. Where necessary you will liaise with the applicant to advise on corrective action if required. You may also be required to deal with some basic enquiries that come into the team on a daily basis either via email or over the phone.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a planning grad with recent work experience in a local authority planning department. You will need to be familiar with planning terminology and you will need to have an understanding of the planning application process. Good admin and organisational skills are essential and you must be confident communicating with external third parties to relay important, detailed information and requirements.
The role is based in West London, will pay around £15/hr and is likely to be at least 3-6 months, possibly longer given how busy our client's department is. They do engage a number of agency contractors on a long term basis so this is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stage of their planning career looking to progress and gain some solid London based experience.
