Opportunity:

An international architecture practice is looking for Principal Planner to join their Planning, Urban Design & Landscape team. In this entrepreneurial role you'll be working across a wide range of exciting projects, predominantly in the UK. No two days will be the same, from complex, large scale applications and policy, to heritage, EIA and consultation. This role is perfectly suited for an ambitious Planner who wants to work in a fun, fast paced environment, where you'll be challenged to apply your intelligence across a variety of very different developments.

Role

  • The key to this position is that the variety of developments requires a planner with ambition and intelligence who can use their knowledge to find solutions to unusual projects. These typically are high profile schemes across the UK, often masterplans and complex projects won from the public sector. You'll work in tandem with your colleagues in planning, transport, urban design, landscape and architecture (both internally and externally). Your role will also involve a contribution to the winning of new work, through bid proposals and presentations - so a confident and charismatic personality are a must!

Company

  • This company are a large international architecture practice with an amazing office space in central London. You'll be joining an urban planning, design and landscape team of 35 who operate as their own profit centre. They are a social team who often have breakfasts and drinks together, with a subsidised canteen and bar in the office building. Throughout 2018 the team will continue to grow, and so there will be genuine opportunities for your own career to progress.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experienced Senior or Principal Planner - looking to work for an architectural practice on a wide range of projects.
  • Intelligent and knowledgeable in planning - able to apply to multiple different forms of planning and provide solutions.
  • Charismatic character who wants to develop career and lead on projects with major clients.
  • MRPTI
