A Local Authority based in Cambridgeshire has just come to me looking to recruit an ambitious and dedicated Senior Planning Officer to assist their Development Management team with a range of applications. The contract is for an initial 3-6 months.

You will be working on a varied caseload of complex mid-range and major applications that include commercial, residential and change use applications. The successful candidate will deliver effective and efficient development management service, undertake site visits, draft reports and attend committee meetings.

The pay rate for this role is negotiable and dependent upon your level of experience and expertise. The role is likely to be within IR35 and as such would require any candidates to be Umbrella or PAYE.

The Council are ideally looking for someone to interview and start as soon as possible, however they are prepared to wait for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will ideally have a few years of experience in a Local Authority based Planning Development Management role. A chartered and qualified planner (MRTPI) is preferred but not essential. Access to a car would also be of benefit.

If you would be interested in applying for this role then please do get in touch. Equally, If you would like to have a chat about this role, or others or just wanted to find out a little more about the current contracting market then drop me a call on 0207 766 9086!
