Officer, Planner

A London Borough seeks a planning officer to join their well-established team to work in their development team on an initial 6 month contract.

You will focus on examining and evaluating a range of applications, ensuring they comply with both government legislation as well as the Council's policies. You'll assist with feasibility studies, regeneration projects and economic strategy work. As a specialist planning officer, you'll be on hand to help communicate to the public, developers and authorities on planning queries.

This is an ideal role for a planner with limited UK experience, or expertise gained in other international planning systems. Though it's for an initial 6 months, there is a strong possibility it will roll on.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A planning degree (ideally from the UK but this is not mandatory)
  • Some experience working in planning (again, with a preference to the UK but not mandatory)
  • To be available immediately
