Senior / Principal Planning Officer

With world class coast, countryside, a thriving artist quarter in the Old Town, brimming over with creativity and history, outstanding architecture and a variety of boutiques Hastings is a popular place to live and visit. Low house prices, good schools, beautiful parks, an attractive environment, an outstanding community spirit and a new link road makes a move to Hastings a very positive investment into your future.

Hastings has seen significant development in the past few years, not least a multi-million pound project to restore its historic pier and the economy-boosting link road. Regeneration that improves the environment is one of Hastings key goals. The post is for either a Senior Planning Officer or Principal Planning Officer depending on your experience and qualifications. As part of the Development Management team you will process applications and appeals and full details of the role can be found in the attached job description. The position of Principal Planning Officer will also have responsibility for managing and guiding planning officers in the Development Management team. We are keen to support your training and personal development and offer flexible working, including home working.

If you have any questions you can call Eleanor Evans on (01424) 783251 or email me (eevans@hastings.gov.uk). We have a welcoming and friendly team so if you think this role could be for you we would love to hear from you.

Closing Date: 12th January 2018 with an interview date of 1st February 2018.
