Section 106 and CIL Officer - Berkshire
A Local Authority in Berkshire is seeking a Section 106 and CIL Officer to assist the Council in a contract role.
You will be liaising with the Policy and Development Management departments in the Council.
Duties will include:
- Collecting money from Developers in relation to Section 106 and ensuring the money is allocated to the correct projects.
- Liaising with the Land Charges team.
- Issuing CIL liability notices and collecting CIL payments.
- Carrying out admin related duties involved in reviewing and maintaining the corporate database for S106. Using this database to provide information and reports to members, developers and the public and producing financial reports.
The contract will be initially 4 months but has the potential to be extended. The Council would ideally like someone to work a full time, 35 hour week, however, would consider candidates looking to work part time. The Authority can be very flexible in terms of working arrangements and rates are dependent upon experience, but likely to be between £25 and £30 per hour.
It would be beneficial for you to have experience working in Section 106 and CIL and also have knowledge of Policy Planning. A Degree or Diploma in Town Planning, or related discipline, and Chartered membership or eligible for Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute would be highly advantageous. Demonstrative experience in Town Planning and knowledge of Planning legislation and Policy would also be valuable.
