Senior Planner - Development Management
Our client, a Local Authority based in the South East of London, requires a Senior DM Planning Officer to join them ASAP. They are looking for a Senior Planning Officer who is capable of manging a caseload of medium and major planning applications and has worked in a local authority setting previously. As a more senior member of the team you will be expected to represent the Council by preparing and presenting expert and professional evidence at public inquiries, informal hearings and in court and you will regularly be required to provide professional advice to Council members, senior officers, applicants and the public on planning applications, development proposals and related matters.
To carry out this role you will need to be a degree qualified town planner with experience working within a local authority development management team. Ideally you will have London experience and a comprehensive understanding of the current issues and developments affecting planning, regeneration and local government in London
Our client will pay around £27 - £30p/hr depending on the candidates experience, and this will initially be offered as a 3 month contract though it is likely to run for at least 12 months due to the workload our client has on.
