Ambitious Senior or Associate Town Planner with proven track record required for consultancy in the West of England (can be partly home-working).

My client is seeking an experienced Town Planning professional with at least 4 years' experience to join their growing consultancy at Senior Planner or Associate Planner level, delivering planning services and assisting in the development of new business. (If you are more senior than this, we also require a Planning Director so call anyway!).

Very much a 21st century business, this consultancy have embraced flexible working practices, allowing their professional staff the trust and freedom to work remotely and manage their time in balance with home life. So if you live anywhere in the vicinity of Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire or the South Midlands then this opportunity could suit you as your geographical location does not need to be as close to the office as you might think... call me to find out more!

My client is a medium-sized multi-disciplinary practice with expertise in Town Planning, Chartered Surveying and Urban Design. Their work focuses heavily on quasi-residential projects spanning from 2-300 units alongside a growing commercial client base and Local Plan promotion for much larger development sites. Other projects are diverse in both type and scale with key sectors being strategic land, sport and leisure and education although your experience in other areas will be equally desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and tenacious Town Planning professional to become an important member of a small but growing multidisciplinary team.

Key requirements include:

  • relevant Town Planning (or equivalent) Masters level degree;
  • 4+ years' experience;
  • MRTPI or MRICS chartered status (or very close to achieving it);
  • either strong client facing skills developed in the private sector or strong DM skills and a commercial awareness built from experience in the public sector;
  • excellent communication, project and people management skills;
  • ambition, dynamism and an eagerness to shine and progress to the very top.

In return our client is offering a very generous salary package where the base salary will be commensurate with experience plus generous bonuses tailored to the individual. The attractive package also includes 25 days annual leave (+ 1 day for your birthday when it falls on a week day) plus bank holidays, private healthcare, fully funded CPD, professional membership fees and gym membership contribution, company laptop and phone.

In addition, they will offer flexible working arrangements where required and would consider a relocation package for candidates looking to make a permanent move to the Gloucestershire area.

For further information and to have a confidential discussion please call Claire on 07983 143 831 | 020 7859 4246, or apply by sending your CV (with contact number) to claire@lewisdavey.com.

If this role is too senior, too junior, or too far for you to travel but you are looking for your next role in Town Planning, please still call us - we are keen to discuss other opportunities with you.
