Senior Planning Officer - Policy

Working under the direction of the Team Leader, this role involves the preparation of evidence base studies and writing of policies to support the Local Plan through its forthcoming production, examination, and adoption, whilst working with neighbouring local authorities and the county council on strategic planning matters.
You will have a degree standard of education in planning or other relevant field or NVQ level 6 in a managerial or professional / technical field and 3 years qualitative experience.
You will be a member of RTPI or other relevant professional body or institute or have eligibility to join, as well as having evidence of continuing professional development.
You will support and mentor planning officers within the team and provide policy recommendations to development management colleagues.
