The School of Architecture & Design is a research-led design school with an international reputation, offering innovative planning, architecture and design teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of School, in addition to teaching, you will actively lead and participate in the design, development, delivery, and assessment of teaching on the MSc Town Planning course; take overall responsibility for the academic health and currency of module delivery and be accountable for the quality of the student learning and assessment experience. You will also perform a visible and focal leadership role in relation to those delivering modules on the course and the growth of the area of planning within the wider School.
As a reflective educator you will be willing to adapt your style and delivery to the needs of differing audiences, be committed to providing a supportive learning environment and will possess a PhD or a record of professional/commercial experience at a senior level. A Working knowledge of finance development and/or planning law is required along with a clear research record with publications in journals graded at national level of excellence.
