An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Planning and Economic Development Team at Worcester City Council. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Planning Enforcement Officer in the Development Management Team.

Assistant Planning Enforcement Officer

We are looking for an Assistant Planning Enforcement officer to work in our very busy Planning Enforcement Team to deal with a range of planning enforcement matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with breaches of planning control, heritage matters as well as being part of the Council's co-ordinated enforcement activities across its various services.

We are looking for somebody with a planning degree, planning enforcement qualification (or working towards it) or experience in planning matters with an understanding of Development Management legislation and procedure with experience of being able to make sound judgement on material planning considerations.

You will need to be well-organised and have the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to negotiate and give clear messages under pressure. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with a wide range of people will be required and a strong commitment to customer care.
