Your new role
We offer you the opportunity to join our Development Management Team which has recently been restructured to provide improved resilience and enhanced career opportunities. To assist us in achieving this we are growing our teams so we are ready to take on new challenges. You will work within our development management team ensuring delivery of the Council’s objectives for new homes proposed in our emerging local plan.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll need to be an ambitious town planner with broad experience, a proven track record and looking to progress your career. You will draw on your knowledge of Planning and the associated local and national legislation and planning policy. As well as an excellent command of planning systems, you will be IT proficient and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for planning officers who will fit within our high performing team and have experience dealing with both minor and major applications. They will be comfortable presenting at planning committee and able to offer help to more junior members of the team.

On 01 November 2018, it was announced by the government that the five councils in Buckinghamshire will become a single unitary authority in April 2020. Any changes made to the structure of local authorities in the county may affect council employees in the future. Therefore, the five councils have agreed to restrict applications to this position to current employees of the five councils for a period of seven days from this date of posting.
