We are also in the process of implementing three Town Centre masterplans and five further sustainable urban extension sites. We have a vacancy for a Principal Planner (Development Management – Major Development). We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team.
The post holder will be primarily responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality development and infrastructure, and preserving the amenity of existing residents and businesses from the impact of proposed development. Main duties will involve the timely, proper, sensitive and effective processing of planning applications, including pre-application negotiations, post-determination work and defending the Council’s case at appeal. You will need to be a problem solver able to identify innovative solutions, secure delivery and provide a proactive service that stimulates growth.
