PO3: Starting salary £37,650 rising in annual increments to £40,653 pa incl LW. The post’s salary attracts a market supplement of 7% per month.

We are looking to recruit a positive and energetic individual for the role of Senior Planning Enforcement officer within our planning enforcement team.

Lambeth has one of London’s most diverse populations, with lively town centres interspersed between residential areas, many within conservation areas, creating a dynamic and challenging workload. Lambeth is a vibrant borough located in the heart of London. Its favourable position attracts iconic projects by international developers and world class architects such as the redevelopment of Shell Centre in Waterloo.  The borough is unique in its variety of locations stretching from Waterloo and Vauxhall in the north, with a distinctive range of prominent riverside development opportunities, with lively and diverse town centres such as Brixton and Clapham, through to Streatham and Norwood in the south.

The successful candidate will take a key role within the team - dedicated to safeguarding the amenity of people who live and work in the Borough - and will have a good knowledge and experience of the planning enforcement regime, mentoring a junior officer within the team. Experience of dealing with the full range of enforcement matters is essential including taking formal action and dealing with the resultant appeals and prosecutions. You will have experience of managing and communicating with stakeholders and following investigations through to successful conclusions. As part of an experienced and successful team you will be expected to work on your own initiative and contribute to pro-active work projects and streamlining processes where required.

The Closing date for receiving the application forms is 3rd March 2019 at midnight.
