Principal CIL Collections Officer

Our client is a prominent Local Authority in East London and they are currently recruiting for a Principal CIL Collections Officer to join them for a 6 month contract though it could be extended beyond this. You will be responsible for calculating the CIL liabilities and relief amounts for all scales of developments in the borough including major applications and measure and confirm Gross Internal Areas for planning drawings in relation to CIL collection. You will also monitor the collection and expenditure of financial receipts and be a point of contact for developers advising them on the compliance for the CIL Regulations 2010.

To apply for these roles previous work experience is essential as our client requires candidates who are competent enough to make positive contributions from day 1. It would be an advantage to have a basic understanding of the UK planning system and you will need to hold a relevant qualification, either town planning related or possibly an accountancy qualification. Good admin skills are essential alongside a high level of IT literacy and you will need good communication skills and confidence when it comes to dealing with external third parties. A keen eye for detail and good mathematics skills are also required.
