Liane Hartley, director at London-based sustainable planning consultancy Mend, has launched an ‘ethical’ recruitment agency and sustainability consultancy for the construction and infrastructure sector.

Trading as “Source”, the business will provide “ethically sourced people” to work on built environment projects. It will also advise clients on a range of social sustainability and ethical compliance issues.

The business will seek to remove barriers to employment for excluded groups, including women, black and minority ethnic people, and ex-military and ex-offenders. It will also collaborate with organisations that “define compliance”, such as the Living Wage Foundation.
