Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore has appointed Ben Lewis, formerly of GVA, as director of infrastructure and energy.
Lewis spent 16 years at GVA, where he advised on nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs), renewable energy schemes and radioactive waste management. He joins Barton Willmore as its first specialist infrastructure developer.
Mark Sitch, senior partner at Barton Willmore, said: “The government recognises the need to unlock and provide significant infrastructure across the country. We welcome Ben to the practice to add to our offer in this area”.
Lewis said: “Barton Willmore has a long-standing reputation for delivering dynamic large-scale development projects. With that strong history, I’m excited to lead the infrastructure and energy business across the UK”.
