Nigel Hawkey [square]Property consultancy Bidwells has appointed Nigel Hawkey as divisional partner in Oxfordshire.

Hawkey will lead Bidwell’s planning team across the Oxford end of the arc, focusing on strategic residential and mixed-use regeneration.

He has worked on projects including Wembley regeneration, Lighthorne Heath new settlement and Butlers Wharf in London.

Hawkey said: “The region has ambitious targets to deliver but there is no doubt that central government sees our region as a trailblazer for the UK economy, meaning a step-change in delivery of jobs and housing.”

Mike Derbyshire, head of planning at Bidwells, said: “The Oxfordshire growth story is still in its opening chapters but it’s going to be about so much more than housing numbers. It’s about supporting our universities and science and technology businesses to ensure Oxfordshire’s knowledge economy leads the way in a reshaped UK economy.”
