Bidwells hires economics and social value head

Mark Teasdale [square]Property consultancy Bidwells has appointed Mark Teasdale as its head of economics and social value. 

Teasdale brings over 30 years of experience delivering complex, mixed-use schemes, often subject to environmental impact assessment (EIA).  

He has extensive experience in assessing socio-economic, housing and health impacts to support major planning applications and development consent orders. Teasdale joins with substantial expertise in teasing out the regeneration rationale for development schemes and identifying and quantifying economic benefits to meet local community needs. 

He has directed major consultancy assignments, staff teams, significant capital projects, multi-agency partnerships and substantial budgets in the public, private and voluntary sectors.  

Teasdale will also be responsible for developing the Bidwells social value strategy, ensuring the business grows and measures the positive social impact its activities have on the communities worked in.  

Teasdale said: "Whenever we are promoting sites or schemes for new development, we always seek to understand how proposals can best be shaped to meet the needs of local communities. We look to create enduring social value and to measure our social impact wherever we can.”
